 4.0 EDUCATION POLICY AFTER INDEPENDENCE OF INDIA

Various Commissions and Committees were constituted during Nehruvian period for improving education in India, but basic approach continued to remain same as was during British rule. Instead of correcting the wrongs of British rule of the past, Nehru went on with them and further degraded what was left of native system. Macaulay had taken out history, context, and language from primary education, but Nehru and his education Ministers took something far more important – the scientific temperament and method from the institutions of higher education. By nationalizing autonomous institutions and effectively converting education into a hierarchy of babus with the top being secretaries trickling down to chancellors to then the professors for the students to bear the brunt of it all. India went from having people like Satyendra Bose, Jagdish Chandra Bose, and C.V. Raman, who were in their own right in the leagues of Einstein, Rayleigh, and Plank to none. Advanced research became extinct in India.

the true historical past of India has been concocted, doctored and distorted to suit a particular political and ideological leaning. In the pre-independence era, this work was done by a coterie of Macaulayian historians which was further evolved by the Nehruvian-Leftist historians who distorted the rich Indian history to suit their own prejudices. Sycophants and bards were rewarded and given status of official historians, who wrote History books glorifying Nehru and created false narratives like:

India was never a nation in the past

India has always faced defeats at the hands of the invaders

India is a patriarchal society

Indian history is a conflict-driven history – Rich and poor, Cast conflicts

Indian history was Brahminical

Muslim rulers were secular and Akbar was Great

Aurangzeb was not a cruel ruler

1857 was Not the War of Independence but a sepoy mutiny

History of Congress is history of Freedom Struggle and freedom came due to Non-violent means of Gandhi & Nehru.


4.1 PRESENT STATUS OF EDUCATION SYSTEM

Today, the future of the youth of our country is being destroyed by the education system of Macaulay, that is perpetuated by Nehruvian system. Most of educational institutions are under grip of Leftist eco-system. Any effort to change is violently resisted. Especially any effort to correct the history of India is violently opposed. Let us hope that things will be corrected sooner than later.
